The Club
This page gives you access to various articles about the club and its environs: Set in beautiful surroundings overlooking the Rivers Stour and Avon, and adjacent to Christchurch town quay, members enjoy superb views from the club bar/restaurant. The club has two car parks, modern changing facilities, and subject to availability, dinghy storage spaces and adjacent river moorings. There are two dinghy races a week from the beginning of April through to late December as well as the occasional evening race on weekdays. For the younger sailors there is a racing series during the summer holidays. Popular dinghy classes at Christchurch are Solos, Lasers, Finns, Mirrors, Toppers, Wanderers, and the Christchurch Scow. Class 5 is Christchurch Sailing Club’s fleet for dinghies with a Portsmouth Yardstick of 1265 or above. We’re actively looking for new members to join this fleet. If you’ve got a Mirror, Gull, Cadet, Torch, Comet, Tideway, Heron, Sailfish or other dinghy with a PY of 1265 or above, why not come and race with us? We race every Saturday and some evenings. To find out more click here Cruiser racing takes place every Sunday between April and October, with the occasional midweek race. There are also regular Rallies organised to various affiliated sailing clubs around the South of England and North France.
