Coronavirus and Club Closure
Published 17:21 on 25 Mar 2020
As a result of the Government's announcement on the 23rd March, it is with regret that the Officers have decided as follows;
Craning in will be postponed until a future date to be agreed
No activity will be permitted on the CSC grounds, this means no work on Cruisers, no access to Sailing dinghies, no launching of any craft or use of escort craft.
No recreational sailing will be permitted from CSC.
The Bosuns and mooring teams have been stood down. The Club craft are not to be used. Work on any moorings is not permitted.
The Club buildings will be locked and there will be no access to members at all, (including the toilets).
We will operate the CSC Office remotely, therefore the phone will not be answered, but emails will be monitored and replied to, as appropriate, daily.
The issue of Membership renewals will be deferred to 1st May 2020.
Lastly, there have been number of marine related thefts in the area recently, particularly outboards. Please be aware.
We have taken these decisions after careful consideration, heeding the words of the Prime Minister which he stated would be in effect for an initial 3 weeks, for the benefit and health of all our members and we will reconsider all aspects in the light of further Government and Health Authority advice as and when received.
