    ON THE WATER............ It's all about the Finns! Over the weekend our clubs Finn sailors have been doing battle at the Finn Nationals in Brixham. All together 46 competitors took part from around the Country and CSC were by far the best represented club with 10 competitors – that's over a fifth of the racing fleet!     On the Warer 3/07/2019

    ON THE WATER............ As you may know the Round the Island Race (ROI) took place over the weekend in what turned out to be somewhat light conditions. 6 CSC yachts took part but with fickle winds, only Andy Rushworth in 'Marmite' managed to complete the race with a time of 13:47 – leaving just 13 minutes before the cut off time.     On the Water 26/6/19 Juniors.........Will Sears, Amelia Dendle & Harry Dendle were representing CSC amongst 24 entries in the Mudeford Tera Open on Saturday.     On the water 19/6/2019 Finn Masters; In Denmark last week five CSC members had a great time..... all very enjoyable ......results; out of 241 entries were, Andy Denison 103, Simon Percival 65, Peter Blick 164, Russell New 178, Richard Phillips 191.     On the water 12/6/2019 A mixed bag for the scow fleet this week. We had a good turn-out for Capers on Wednesday despite the less than ideal conditions, but lost Saturday's ODM race due to the 30mph wind. We will re-run the race at a later date.     On the Water 4/6/2019 14 Scows were out for Capers on Wednesday, with a good breeze and a win for Barry Gibbs with Christine de Laine close behind. The rain held off until all were back on dry land. Four keen racers were out for the Olympic races on Saturday, with Graham Fairbrass now in the lead after the first two races.

    An excellent Scow capers last Wednesday - super weather and sufficient breeze to keep the fleet of 18 boats moving along - a great outing for all participants. The Christchurch Keg was sailed on Saturday with a reduced fleet and was won by Stuart Percival.     On the water 1/5/2019 The sailing programme is now fully up and running - the scows have started their Wednesday capers, 13 ladies went out in lovely conditions for their first ladies sailing evening, 50 Pirates and Freestyle sailors turned up for the first Friday night session of the 2019 season, and although Storm Hannah kept them off the water, the Pirates had their dinghies checked and then practiced land drill ashore,

    On the Water 10/4/2019 Since the last "on the water" write up the Icicle series organised by Highcliffe SC and our icebreaker series have both finished. There was no final race on 10th March for the Icicle Series so the results stayed the same with Alex Atkins winning and Ray New 2nd.......CSC had 7 sailors in the top 10 with highest placed Junior being Flynn Atkins in 9th
