Congratulations again to Drew Barnes for securing 2^nd place at the Laser Radial Inland Championship at Grafham Water Sailing Club last weekend! Drew was 1^st in 2 of the 4 races completed - an amazing result on his journey! Fantastic!!

Jack Acton spent the week in Split in the U21 European Laser Full Rig Championships. Another week of mixed weather of no wind or just enough which shows how committed you need to be to travel and compete regardless. Great experience again gained by Jack.

At the club. once again the weather saw Saturday blown away with gusts in the high 60's (but super to see so many sailors cheering on England Rugby in the world cup final inside the club - just a shame we lost). Sunday saw separate races for the Scow fleet on the first high tide and then the Finns and Class 4 and 5 on the second in the second of the winter series. The wind died in the latter and there was general discussion about needing a head torch, but our escort crews did a great job ensuring a safe return before sunset at 4.40 pm and a good time was had by all.
