Club Photo Competition and the Aldridge Trophy
Cruising
and Junior LogMany of our cruiser owners embark on Voyages ranging from one
to several weeks. The winner of the Aldridge award for the Best Cruising log
will be announced at the AGM. In addition, the Junior Log trophy for the best
Junior Log will be announced. We know that, despite the shorter season, Junior
members had Holidays and entered Dinghy Competitions and events and a log of
your event, or season is the ideal opportunity to enter for this Trophy.
Your entry should be lodged with the Office by 12th February
2023.

CSC Annual Photographic Competition Initiated by the late Chris Austen with trophy presented by Phil Whiston. Please submit prints and smartphone images by Monday 30th January.
Reminder that there are print and smartphone categories. Topics for prints are - Candid/Street Photography
- Sailing.
Prints should be 10x8ins or A4 and have the category and your name on the back, plus a title. There is also a category for smartphone images only. The theme is 'Christchurch and its people'. Images can be sent to cscphotos@btinternet.com. Make sure that your name and photo title are included. For the Junior Section, any image is welcome on any theme. Prints only please and identified as above

2022 Competition People category was won by John Young with his black and white coffer maker image which showed action, differential focus and effective use of slow shutter speed. 'Environment including Pollution' won by Adrian Bowden again with a black and white image which is well composed, simple and has impact.'Sailing' and 'Overall Winner' is John Harding with a stunning panoramic shot of a wind surfer.
