Studland Bay and the Eco Moorings

There are now an additional 20 eco-moorings installed (32 in total plus the newly conforming Bankes Arnes Mooring buoys)) and we hope to install many more before next season, dependent upon the success of a grant recently applied for. In addition, within the next two weeks the area of the VNAZ will be marked by a buoyage system that Howard Davidson from Poole YC and I have been pressing for as urgent, but again, funding has had to be obtained. With those in place, sailors will recognise the boundary, rather than have to rely on co-ordinates or guessswork. This coming Friday, (subject to weather) there is an awareness event on South Beach at Studland, by Joe's cafe. If the weather improves and you are out and about, come along and chat to SBMP Members who will be happy to give you further information on our progress.
