"What's Happening on the Water - 05/12/2018"

Published 06:58 on 6 Dec 2018

I am certainly looking forward to the Prize Giving this Saturday at the Queens Hotel, for Class 4, Class 5, Cruiser Class and the Ladies Class. It will be a time to celebrate our fantastic year of good weather and sailing. Richard Phillips, who is responsible for creating our "Club2 Class results," will provide film of this year's events on the Hotel's screen for our added entertainment.

This weekend returns to the Winter Series. Early starts for the Finns, Class 4 and 5, for two scheduled races on Saturday and Sunday in the harbour. Hopefully the weather will be kind enough to see a good Scow fleet competing in the river, with their start at 11.00

It is now time for members to add their names to the 2019 Dinghy Programme. The "Duty Sheets" will be up in the Clubroom by Friday morning and I would like to see members do at least two duties during the year. Remember our Seminar on Saturday 15th at 9.am in the clubroom. We want to help those members who maybe unsure, so as to gain confidence in carrying out dinghy duties next year.

Thank you in advance
